I can't say I have the experience of a billionaire entrepenure but i do have some common business sense that i will share with others. So here are some tips on advertising for free or for very cheap!

1. Blog

If your business already has a website theres no other great opportunity to create a blog and tell everyone about the busines. It's a cheap advertising tool and an can help massivley on the SEO page rankings. Many free ones available I highly recommend wordpress. Don't know how to install a blog? Contact me for a small fee!

2. Location!

Picking the right spot for an ad often multiplies its effectivness. For example you could always sponsor a web forum about something your business is associated with.

3. Back Scratch (tit for tat)

If you promote your business partners, they will promote you. It's like an I owe you. If they not promoting you then ask!

4.Take on a dragon.

If you got balls then you can get some free Television exposure when you take on the mighty dragons.

5. Word of mouth

Simple ideas work the best and word of mouth is one of the best forms of free advertising. Tell everyone you know ! Family, friends, friends of friends, pet cat. Also make sure they tell everyone too.

6. Business cards

Cheap, you can get some good quality about 250 for about £30. PLEASE don't go to the cheapest you can get hold of it will be one man and his dog printing off his 4 year old inkjet. (I speak from experience)

7. Offer Prizes

Offering your product as a competition prize will bag you a free advert. Also it will give you thousands of names and addresses of potential buyers of the product

8. Search Engine Optimisation

Getting your website at the top of the list in search engine results will boost your traffic. I will soon be writing an articl on SEO. Its not a instant process, you must spend time on it to achieve the results you desire.

9. Offer Trials

Offer taster or trials of products to lure potential customers, It will attract anyone who loves anything for free.

10. Brand Everything

Brand everything, envelopes, cases, pens, pencils, stickers, anything you can think of.
